Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses modern strategies, which can change at any time, due to ongoing research. Solution Focused hypnotherapy helps the client focus on what they would like to achieve and their desired outcomes rather than focusing on the problem. Different techniques are used and tailored to the individual in order to suit their needs. We don’t focus on the past, only the present and future. The use of metaphors invite the listener to see the world in a new and more positive way. It helps change thinking and behaviour and invites participation as to how they would like their life to be. It helps change their belief system.
Reflexology is a holistic therapy based on the discovery that there are points on the feet and hands that correspond to organs and systems within the body. It involves using thumbs and fingers to apply pressure on the feet and in some cases the hands.
Eunice Ingham, a nurse and physiotherapist in the 1930s and 1940s claimed that feet and hands were especially sensitive and mapped the entire body into reflex points “reflexes”. Working on these points is not only relaxing but encourages the body to work naturally to restore its own healthy balance. When there is disharmony in the body the reflex points can be sensitive, sore and sometimes even numb but massage may help to dissolve blockages encouraging the free flow of energy throughout the body.
How Reflexology may help you
Reflexology may be beneficial in restoring balance and harmony in the body helping to release tension. It may also help treat a number of conditions and can work alongside conventional medicine. Reflexology works on an holistic level.
Reflexology can work alongside conventional healthcare and other complementary therapies.
I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists.
Reiki is a healing technique developed in the early twentieth century by a Japanese man called Mikao Usui. It was introduced to the USA in the 1930’s and due to its popularity has since spread throughout the world.
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy. It is a healing technique where energy is channelled into you to activate the natural healing process by increasing the vibration frequency of the whole system. When we are in perfect physical, mental and emotional health we are vibrating in harmony with the universe. Your thoughts and emotions such as worry and fear also vibrate at their own frequencies. These can have the effect of slowing down your rate of vibration which in turn can deplete you of energy. This leads to an accumulation of toxins within the cells of your body depleting the flow of energy within you. Holding on to negative thoughts and memories in our subconscious can also echo a lowering of vibration. In order to function at a higher vibration you need to think positively and integrate emotions such as faith and happiness into everyday living.
How Reiki can help you
Reiki is a holistic treatment and works where it is most needed helping to bring you back into balance.
- Physically – it has a relaxing effect on the body which eases tension and reduces pain which in turn leads to increased vitality. This in turn increases the flow of energy within your body. Scientific studies have shown positive effects for reducing blood pressure and relieving pain.
- Emotionally – when you feel more relaxed your mind becomes calmer restoring emotional well-being.
Reiki can work alongside conventional healthcare and other complementary therapies.
